Disha is an artificial intelligence tutoring assistant — not a human teacher, and not a substitute for one. This page explains, honestly, what that means in practice.
How Disha answers questions
Disha answers from curriculum content that has been specifically loaded into this product. If a question is outside what has been loaded, Disha is designed to say it could not find the answer in the curriculum, rather than guess or make something up. Please double-check important learning decisions with a trusted teacher or guardian — Disha is a study aid, not the final word.
Diagrams and charts
When Disha shows a diagram or chart, the numbers in it are checked against the actual curriculum text before being shown. Disha does not invent diagrams or figures — if a reliable one isn't available, it will say so instead of showing something made up.
Teaching style
Disha is designed to guide a student toward an answer with questions and small steps, rather than simply providing answers outright, and to treat quizzes as a friendly check-in rather than a graded exam. Getting something wrong is treated as a normal part of learning, not something to feel bad about.
Safety
Messages are checked by an automated safety system before Disha responds. If something raises a safety concern, it is flagged for a human administrator to review, rather than left to the AI alone to handle.
Third-party AI providers
Generating Disha's answers, and (optionally) spoken audio, involves sending an anonymized version of the message to a third-party AI provider. See the Privacy Policy for detail on what is and isn't shared with these providers.
